xTool Launches X1, a New All-in-One Laser Platform

xTool has officially launched the xTool X1, a new all-in-one laser platform designed to bring high-speed engraving, large-format cutting, and multiple laser technologies into a single desktop system.

The X1 combines a 55W CO₂ laser with a 20W diode laser and uses xTool’s Hybrid Motion technology to combine gantry movement with high-speed galvo engraving.

The system is capable of engraving at speeds of up to 6,000 mm/s, while maintaining a larger working area for cutting and engraving projects.

One of the key features of the new platform is Laser Swap, which allows users to expand the X1 with additional laser technologies.

xTool says the platform will support optional 30W fiber, 60W MOPA, and 5W UV laser modules, giving users the ability to work with a wider range of materials and applications without purchasing separate machines.

The X1 also features xTool’s UniCast Frame, a rigid aluminum structure designed to provide stability and precision during high-speed operation.

Alongside the X1 launch, xTool held its first Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) Summit, bringing together creators, industry experts, and small business owners to discuss the future of digital fabrication, AI-powered design, and business growth.

The global launch highlights xTool’s focus on creating a more flexible laser platform that can grow with makers and businesses as their production needs change.

Why the X1 Could Be a Game Changer

The xTool X1 is interesting because it aims to solve three common problems for creators. Hybrid Motion is designed to combine speed with a larger working area.

Laser Swap allows users to add different laser technologies instead of buying another machine, and the UniCast Frame is designed to provide the stability needed for high-speed operation.

If xTool can deliver on these promises, the X1 could give creators and small businesses a simpler way to expand their capabilities without filling their workshops with dedicated machines.

However, there are still important unanswered questions. xTool has not announced pricing, and the cost of additional laser modules will be critical to determining whether the modular approach makes financial sense.

The company is targeting an October 2026 launch, but that’s currently a target rather than a confirmed shipping date.
